Apply a small amount of silicone oil (not dressing lube) directly to the zipper teeth and the slider mechanism regularly. Use a dedicated silicone shiner. After cleaning and drying the dress, apply a small amount of specialized silicone shiner/polish to a soft, lint-free cloth. Gently rub the shiner onto the latex surface in circular motions until the desired gloss is achieved. This also conditions the rubber.
What is the safest way to store a latex dress long-term?
Hang and protect from light/metal. Never fold the dress. Use a padded or wooden hanger (never metal, as metal stains). Hang the dress inside an opaque garment bag in a dark closet. Ensure all metal hardware (like buckles or zipper pulls) is wrapped in acid-free tissue paper to prevent staining.
